The
Marcy Chronicles Part III

The Marcy Chronicles Part I
The Marcy Chronicles Part II
The
“Sing With Marcy” LPs proved to be the financial goldmine that the wildly
ambitious Little Marcy had always been seeking.
Now privately claiming to be “More famous than Satan and twice as ruthlessly
adorable,” Little Marcy figured that the next step to even more dizzying
heights of fame would involve losing the last of the dead wood – Big Marcy.
To be fair to Little Marcy, it needed to happen… Big Marcy’s big
binge drinking bouts were now totally out of control and her romantic three
way involvement with
New York
punk rockers Patti Palladin and Judy Nylon was starting to hurt the Marcy
Brand. Little Marcy knew the
situation had gone way beyond damage control and that serious measures would
need to be taken to make sure Big Marcy was removed – and stayed that way.
And yet, Little Marcy also worried about how the public would react to
her as a solo act. Getting rid of Mr. Ruminant and Little Cleo had been, well,
child’s work, but disposing of Big Marcy would prove to be far more
challenging…

The
Elevator Hug
Here's a
link
to a little cartoon I volunteered to write for. It's a campaign for
a "Virtual Hug."
This virtual hug is meant to
help raise funds for Meagan’s Walk which raises funds to fight paediatric
brain tumours. Meagan’s Walk was started by Denise Bebenek after her 5 year
old daughter Meagan died of a brain tumour 6 years ago. Every year on
Mother’s Day, Denise leads thousands of people to hug SickKids where Meagan
had received such excellent care. This virtual hug remembers her love of
laughter and of hugs. If it makes you smile, I hope you will
consider sharing this virtual hug with your friends and maybe even
consider donating to this worthy cause.
