Have to admit I'm in a bit of a fug what with the Bush government trying to legally justify torture. Considering that it must be torture for The Bush Man to have to eat crow in order to mend relations with other world leaders over Iraq, you'd think he'd be bit more aware and sensitive to the issue.

Still, what's really got me knickers in a knot is, of course, the passing of Ronnie. Hollywood has lost one of its greatest actors. I don't care what anyone says, "Bedtime for Bonzo" was a work of comic genius. And even though that smelly and adorable chimp, Cheetah, stole every scene from Ronald, it was hardly Reagan's fault. That primate may have been a scene chewer but he was also a trained thespian who knew everything there was to know about comic timing. I still recall seeing the monkey performing the part of Falstaff in Shakespeare's, The Merry Wives of Windsor. He was truly brilliant. Whatever role he took, the cast always took a backseat to his monkeyshines.
