29/2004 Again, with Florida?
I see my two favorite rump-roast
aficionados and polo-playing buddies Georgey Boy and Johnny K. are locked in a
close race for the electoral seats in Florida. I gotta say, that swinging state
is more divided than Canada.
A recent poll found that about all Florida voters can agree on is that none of
them have favorable views of Bush or Kerry.
"Both Bush and Kerry have
sharply polarized the Florida voters," some polling guy is quoted as saying.
"At this stage in the campaign, Florida voters don't like either of the candidates
very much."
When asked what the candidates would have to do to get
Florida voters to like them, the polling guy belched softly, thought it over and
then said, "Funny dances. We Floridians love guys who can do funny dances.
Oh, and goofy hats. I know I'd vote for a guy who wore a goofy hat and could do
a funny dance. And he should wear pants that come up past his navel and shirts
made out of cotton. We folks from the sunshine state don't trust a man who wears
polyester - and we never will!"
