Kerry dropped by all excited. (I almost saw a pulse!) Apparently some
unengaged musicians are coming out in full force to raise money for his
campaign. Barbara Streisand, Neil Diamond, Bette Midler and James Taylor,
to name a few. I tried to look excited for the guy, but I finally had
to tell him the truth: That yesterday's, bland MOR artists, are only reinforcing
the Kerry stereotype. I mean, let's be honest, when the exhilarating pinnacle
of the night's entertainment is gonna be Streisand and Diamond performing,
You Don't Bring Me Flowers, well, that really sums up the whole problem

If you're looking for something
to put you to sleep, but other than that - what's the point?
All I can say is that it makes me think that his previous "Kerry
image enhancement concept" of dressing up like a Star Trek Vulcan
might be worth revisiting.
Or if you folks out there
have any brilliant (or not so brilliant) ideas on what Mr. Kerry can do
to enhance his image, why not send them to me, Avery Ant, care of my flunky,
"Dances for Nickels" Erskine-Kellie. Hey, he's got nothing better
to do (other than dance for nickels). You can reach him at: mug@averyant.com
